To use, is light weight compared CR.Net, has all the functionality as CR and is a better experience altogether in my view, plus the runtime is royalty free and unlimited CR is too restrictive in that area for me. Hi Sleiman, I haven't done any formal comparisons, my decision was based mainly on integration, runtime royalties and the frustration of keeping up with all the CR.Net service packs, updates, weekly hotfixes, monthly hotfixes (get my drift). ".aspx") = 0 Then If InStr(1, URL(intURL), ".ArCacheItem") = 0 Then DomainName += IIf(DomainName "", "/", "") & URL(intURL) Else Exit For End If Else Exit For End If. :) Globals.vb - Function GetDomainName - ' check if filename If InStr(1, URL(intURL),
Sorry for the poor formatting of the code in this post. Maybe an enhancement that comes out of this for DNN to review HTTPHandlers in the web.config and add them to the list of extensions that should NOT be considered a domain name. Going to build a list of extensions that should not be added to the domain name. Below is my code that fixed this problem. Later, DNN can not find the returned Domain name in the list of portals and sends a generic message to the user. If the URL itemÄoes not contain an ".aspx", it thinks this part of the URL is part of the domain name. The AR ReportViewer control builds and requests a file with. The problem is in the GetDomainName public funciton that tries to parse the URL and determine the domain name. I found the problem and came up with a solution. Solutions / work-arounds for this path resolution problem? thanks. Has anyone experienced this problem or using the ActiveReports.ReportViewer in DNN? What are some Just thought I would throw this out there. That ActiveReports uses HTTPHandlers to process reports, but I am unsure if and how this could be causing this error. The path should look something like "localhost/DotNetNuke/WinByPin/.". I think the problem has something to do with the DNN HTTPModule not being able to correctly resolve the portalId from the path. I am doing development on my local workstation. My custom control works fine with DNN when displaying in HTML view, but fails when displayed as PDF. Reports can be displayed in HTML, PDF, etc. For those that are not familiar with ActiveReports, it provides a control Recently I ran into a problem when trying to build a custom control that incorporates the ActiveReports.ReportViewer. Folks, I have become a big fan of DNN and have been building furiously.
